Green Pastures Shangri-La Mall Philippines

One of the best, if not the best restaurant I tried during my Manila visit was Green Pastures in the new wing of the Shangri-La mall in Edsa.  This restaurant and cafe brings to the forefront the current trend of healthy, organic produce reinforcing the farm – to-table concept.

This dining destination offers a build your own salad bar, in addition to its creative menu offerings.  Nothing we ordered was sub-par.  From the Al Funghi pasta, a rich fettuccine dish with organic mushrooms, garlic, creme fraiche and pecorino cheese to the 80/20 burger served on a buttered brioche, everything was just delightful.  A particular highlight of the visit was the appetizer toasts, which are not ordinary in any way. We ordered the organic mushrooms and quail eggs with a house made ricotta. The meal, to say the least, was mouthwatering.

Green Pastures continues to develop new and innovative menu items (I know because I follow them on Instagram!).  In my books, they definitely get an A+.
